Cutaway collar

Cutaway collar

A Cutaway collar
is part of the family wide spread collar shirt. It is the second most popular collar category because it is revealing more of the upper shirt area . As mentioned in the name, its points are “cut away” or wide spread. The spread is here much larger than the Haï semi spread collar for instance. It is almost a horizontal spread. The cutaway collar has only one button on the collar band.

Style Advice
The cutaway collar can be worn with or without a tie but of course a double Windsor tie knot is the most popular and the recommanded way to wear it. A man with thin or long facial features is most suited for a cutaway collar. The adoption of vertical stripes is possible and very nice to wear. Also contrasted colour with a floral design is nice for fashion shirts addicts.
