 is a small standing collar with the points pressed to stick out horizontally, resembling “wings”, worn with men’s evening dress (Black tie). It is a descendant of Gladstone collar. Used by barristers in the UK and Canada. It was a stiffened half-circle collar with a tall stand, worn in the early 17th century.
