SHIRTS STYLE ADVICE

Vintage shirts: Vintage shirts, generally speaking, ‘antique’ shirts were manufactured before the 1920s and ‘vintage’ shirts from the 1920s to 1980. Retro, short for retrospective, usually refers to shirts that imitate the style of a previous era. Shirts produced more recently are called ‘modern’ or ‘contemporary’ shirts. Opinions vary on these definitions. Most vintage shirts have been previously worn, but a small percentage of pieces have not. Vintage shirts have traditionally been the favourites of creative personalities because they offer an enormous wide range of imaginative styles. Most of them are unique or almost unique as custom made or small series. They are always from good quality made out very fine materials.

Style Advice: Vintage shirts demand increased dramatically since the early 1990s. This increase of interest is due in part to increased visibility, as vintage clothing in general was worn by celebrities or very creative personalities.
