Cees (C.C.J.) Andriessen (Wageningen, 20 March 1940) is considered one of the leading representatives of non-figurative art from his generation in the Netherlands. His oeuvre consists of drawings and especially linoleum and woodcuts, including numerous bookplates. The images are abstract, the forms clear, the use of color is sparing, and the sheets remain empty on the surface.
