What is a Liberty blouse?

Liberty of London has been manufacturing Tana lawn since the 1920’s. The name comes from Lake Tana in Ethiopia where the raw cotton was grown. Liberty Tana Lawn is 100% cotton.

This cotton fabric has an extremely fine thread count which gives it that added quality.  It is light and silky yet very durable and a real treat to wear. Wear either on its own in summer or as an under layer with a sweater or cardigan during the colder months.

Many of our Liberty print blouse designs are taken from the famous archive prints that are timeless in their design, having been originally created many years ago by key figures from the Arts and Craft movement.

Each season we introduce new blouses to our collection that are designed to be co-ordinated with the new season tailoring or simply worn as a striking standalone blouse with our plain separates or something in your existing wardrobe.
