TENCEL - LYOCELL

TENCEL® branded lyocell fibers from the house of Lenzing. They are of botanic origin, since they are extracted from the raw material wood. Fiber production itself is extremely ecofriendly, due to the closed loop system. On the day that the TENCEL® fibers were invented, a new chapter was written in the history of fibers.

TENCEL lyocell as cellulose fibers

TENCEL lyocell can be used in place of other regenerated cellulose fibers such as viscose-rayon. The benefits of using TENCEL lyocell include the traceable and sustainable origin of the wood pulp, and the use of non-toxic chemicals and solvents in the fiber processing.

Modal Fabric

modale stof

Modal is a type of rayon, a semi-synthetic cellulose fiber made by spinning reconstituted cellulose, in this case often from beech trees. Modal is used alone or with other fibers (often cotton or spandex) in household items such as pajamas, towels, bathrobes, clothing, underwear and bedsheets.

Modal is processed under different conditions to produce a fiber that is stronger and more stable when it is wet than standard rayon, yet has a soft feel, similar to cotton.
