A shirtblouse is also an alternative for the office, because it allows you to choose the right middle ground between an elegant and casual look.
Shirt or blouse, is not that the same?
At first glance the difference is not that big, from an optical point of view. Blouses are in fact worn by women, while the shirtblouse is the counterpart for the man. The most striking of these is the location of the button closure. While this is on the right side of a shirt, blouses are buttoned on the left side. Shirtblouses are buttoned on the left side.
The reason for this is historical. High-ranking ladies usually had a maid who helped them with dressing and easier to close the row of buttons on the left. On the other hand, in men the button row on the right was more comfortable. This tradition is - now that we generally no longer make use of maids - still exist.
But blouses and shirts differ from each other because of their fit, because it is tailored to the respective anatomy.
